Based on Room volume, required air exchanges (15) CFM’s, and BTU’s it complicated because if I use the correct formula I will need a massive range hood, much bigger than the one I am replacing. I am wondering if it based on the size of my kitchen because my kitchen is open to the nook. Once I remodel my kitchen and remove the wall separating the nook/kitchen, it will become a great room. So, do I still calculate based on my kitchen volume from before or now include the 3 rooms that are now one?
